Chhattisgarh News: Under the Kisan Samman Nidhi Yojana, one of the ambitious schemes of the Central Government, disturbances have come to the fore in Bastar district of Chhattisgarh. Under this scheme, an amount of Rs 9 crore has been deposited online in the account of about 7 thousand ineligible farmers of the district. Which has now got orders to recover from the farmers. At the same time, the Agriculture Department has issued notices to the farmers to deposit the amount as soon as possible.
Due to which there is ruckus in the district Politics has also started in Bastar regarding this order. In fact, under this scheme, there is a provision to give an amount of 6 thousand rupees to the farmers’ account in a year by the central government, but about 7 thousand farmers of the district have been found ineligible to take advantage of this scheme. Regarding which notice has now been issued by the Agriculture Department to all the ineligible farmers. Orders have been given to deposit the amount in lump sum at the earliest.
Notice issued to ineligible farmers
Assistant Director of Agriculture Department Lankhdar Dewan informed Giving information that 68 thousand farmers in Bastar district have applied for the ambitious scheme of the central government. Had registered for Out of these, 7 thousand 195 farmers were found ineligible. 9 crore rupees are to be recovered from these ineligible farmers. Among these ineligible farmers in the district, more than 500 income tax payers took advantage of the scheme despite being ineligible. Apart from this, government servants, pensioners and those cultivating land on lease also took advantage of the Kisan Samman Nidhi Yojana.
After the disclosure, the department has now issued notices to all these ineligible farmers and ordered them to deposit the amount in lump sum as soon as possible. The officer says that the listing of ineligible farmers has been done and notices are being handed over to almost all of them. Efforts are being made to recover the amount from all the ineligible farmers. And so far an amount of Rs 5 lakh has been recovered from the ineligible farmers.
Farmers are getting troubled in paying the amount in lump sum
Here, the ineligible farmers of the district say that due to lack of knowledge of the rules, they applied and their applications were also accepted. The central government also released the amount in the accounts. Now the concerned department is demanding money in lump sum by handing over the notice. Farmers say that the work of verification was done by the Patwaris, despite this the Agriculture and Revenue Department is issuing notices to the farmers and asking for the amount back, which is completely wrong. All the farmers are upset because of asking for the amount in one lump sum.
Conspiracy to defame the Centre’s plan
Here, after the department issued a notice for recovery from the farmers, BJP officials are calling it the fault of the state government. BJP’s District President Roop Singh Mandavi says that the farmers are facing the brunt of the mistake of the administration. The innocent farmers of Bastar are being harassed forcibly. The District President said that a conspiracy is being hatched to defame the central government’s important scheme for the benefit of the farmers. The matter has been discussed with the Bastar collector. There has been a demand to investigate the whole matter seriously. BJP District President said that BJP is standing with the farmers.
The State Government is being blamed
And in this case Congress District President Rajeev Sharma says that the Kisan Samman Nidhi is a scheme of the Central Government. The officers of the concerned department have also deposited the amount in the farmers’ account by following all the rules of the central government. In such a situation, whether the farmer is eligible or ineligible, the officials of the central government should know about it. The BJP is forcibly making false allegations against the state government, while the entire fault has been committed by the central government and officials of the central government.
