Jio Cinema Update: Reliance Jio-owned company has signed a big deal which is going to give a big blow to OTT service providers Netflix, Amazon and Disney Plus Hotstar. Actually, Viacom18 has entered into a multi-year deal with HBO, Max Originals and Warner Bros, after which the content related to these can be seen directly on Jio Cinema in India. Earlier, users could watch content related to HBO on Disney Plus Hotstar, but the company terminated the contract with HBO on 31 March.

After the signing of this deal, users will be able to stream HBO related content, House of The Dragon, The Last of Us, Succession and The White Lotus etc. on Jio Cinema. Apart from this, HBO will be able to watch famous series such as Game of Thrones, Big Little Lies, Chornobyl and Veep etc.

Jio cinema subscription may have to be bought
Recently it was reported that Reliance Jio may announce paid subscription for cinema. The company is working on creating three types of plans and under this, users will be able to access different content. According to the information, the company can bring plans of Rs 2, Rs 99 and Rs 599 for Jio Cinema. The paid version will be called Jio Premium.
