Pakistan Imran Khan Land Scam Case: The difficulties of former Prime Minister of Pakistan Imran Khan are not taking the name of abatement. A spokesperson of the Anti Corruption Establishment (ACE) told on Saturday (June 17) that in Punjab, ACE has sent summons in the Layyah land corruption case.
The Express Tribune newspaper reported that Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf (PTI) chief Imran Khan has been asked to appear at the ACE headquarters on June 19, while Uzma and her husband have been asked to appear at ACE DG Khan. Having said. Earlier, ACE had sent summons to Imran Khan for June 16, but he did not appear.
The summons was pasted at Imran Khan’s residence in Lahore. The spokesperson said that ACE has clear evidence of Khan’s involvement in the Layyah corruption scandal. It is alleged that the revenue officials of Bani Gala, the residence of Imran Khan in Islamabad, were pressurized for illegal transfer of land. If the allegation of land scam turns out to be true, then Imran and his sister can also be arrested.
Land worth billions bought for 13 crores
Imran Khan Uzma’s sister is accused of alleged fraud in the purchase of 5261 kanals of land (625 acres) in Layyah district. It is said that the cost of this land is billions of rupees, but it was bought for only 13 crores. ACE said that an FIR has been registered against Uzma and her husband. According to the spokesperson, the land was fraudulently purchased in 2021-22.
It is alleged that Uzma and Majeed got the land transferred in their names fake. A case was registered against Khan on Sunday (June 18) in the Layyah land scam case. The total number of cases registered against him after he was ousted as Pakistan’s prime minister in April last year has crossed 140.
