Opposition meeting: Opposition parties engaged in uniting against the BJP for the Lok Sabha elections held a meeting on Friday (June 23) in Patna regarding the strategy ahead. Many leaders including Delhi Chief Minister Arvind Kejriwal, Congress President Mallikarjun Kharge and former President Rahul Gandhi participated in it.

The Delhi ordinance was also discussed in the meeting. Sources told ABP News that Nationalist Congress Party (NCP) President Sharad Pawar and former CM Uddhav Thackeray appealed to Congress leader Rahul Gandhi to support CM Arvind Kejriwal regarding the ordinance.

Sources said almost all opposition leaders asked the Congress to support Kejriwal against the Centre’s ordinance. Sources said that the Congress also talked about supporting AAP in the Rajya Sabha against the ordinance.

At the same time, before the meeting, Congress President Kharge said, “Perhaps he (Kejriwal) himself knows that the support or opposition to the ordinance does not happen outside, it all happens inside the house. Before the commencement of the Parliament session, all the parties together decide the agenda, they would know this. There is a meeting of 18-20 parties, in which leaders of each party participate.

Aam Aadmi Party’s national convenor Arvind Kejriwal had recently written a letter to the opposition parties to clarify their stand regarding the Centre’s ordinance.
