complaints on twitter
On the micro blogging website Twitter, many users are writing their complaints on the post of EPFO. Many of them say that they are entitled to opt for higher pension under the Employees’ Pension Scheme, as they fulfill all the eligibility conditions. However, even after this they are not able to select it, because their application itself is not being submitted.
Deadline has been extended several times
In such a situation, these users are demanding to increase the deadline for choosing the option of more pension from EPFO. EPFO had given 4 months time to the people to choose this option after the decision of the Supreme Court in November last year. After that, the facility to apply for higher pension was extended till May 3. Later, EPFO once again extended the deadline to 26 June.
Users are complaining
A user on Twitter has said that he has all the correct information, but even after this he is not able to submit the application to avail the facility of higher EPS pension. The user says that even after all the information in UAN and Aadhaar is correct, he is getting the error. At the same time, another user has said that his service history period is not correct in the records of EPFO, due to which he is facing problems.
How much is the deadline expected to increase
At the same time, some users are claiming that they are not able to open the application itself. Many experts are also talking about problems in the system from the EPFO side. In a report by Business Today, quoting experts, it is expected that EPFO will extend the deadline for opting for higher pension, as there is ambiguity about some things.
