Yes, companies are offering packages worth crores to those who are experts in Chat GPT.
A study conducted by Resume Builder shows that 91 percent of companies with job vacancies are looking to hire ChatGPT experts. According to the study, companies feel that AI can increase productivity, save time and enhance company performance.
Getting a package of 1.5 crores
According to a report by Business Insider, companies on LinkedIn are ready to pay up to US$ 1,85,000 (about Rs 1.5 crore) per year to people who specialize in using ChatGPT. For example, a US based HR company recruiting from scratch is looking for a Senior Machine Learning Engineer. Candidate should have knowledge of current AI tools and platforms for the job such as ChatGPT, Midjourney and others.
Similarly, interface.ai, a conversational AI tool, is looking for a Remote Machine Engineer with knowledge of ChatGPT’s ‘Natural Language Processing and Big Language Models’. For this, the company will pay up to US $ 1,70,000 per year. Means about 1 crore 40 lakh rupees annually.
Increasing demand for prompt engineer
The demand for prompt engineers is increasing in IT companies. In the month of March this year, an advertisement was shared by a San Francisco-based AI startup named Anthropic to hire a prompt engineer and a librarian, which made a lot of headlines. Actually, the company was paying US$ 3,35,000 per year for these posts. Converting to Indian rupees, this figure is approximately Rs 2.7 crores. Let me tell you, not only San Francisco is hearing for AI prompt engineer but if you go on LinkedIn or any other job platform, you will find many places looking for prompt engineers.
In view of the increasing demand of this profession, various sites have also started courses to give people mastery in this field and people are enrolling for it.
