It is expected that during July, the Modi government can give the gift of increasing the DA of central employees. Although no official announcement has been made yet. Meanwhile, the employees of the state have got a big gift. Two states have increased the dearness allowance of their employees. Now the salary of these employees will increase.

The two states which have increased the dearness allowance are Chhattisgarh and Rajasthan. Elections are going to be held in both these states. In view of the elections, the Chhattisgarh government has increased the dearness allowance of the employees by 5 percent. At the same time, the Rajasthan government has increased the DA of the employees from 396 percent to 412 percent under the 5th Pay Commission. This means that there has been an increase of 16 percent in it.

Gift to employees in Chhattisgarh

DA has been increased by 5 percent to 38 percent in Chhattisgarh. Due to this, about 1 thousand crore rupees will be spent annually on the state exchequer. This decision of the state government will benefit 3.80 lakh employees of the state. The Chhattisgarh government had earlier increased the dearness allowance in October 2022. Then DA was 33 percent.

The Rajasthan government has given a gift to the employees who come under the 5th Pay Commission. The dearness allowance of these employees has been increased from 396 per cent to 412 per cent. Now these employees will get increased DA from January 2023. At the same time, under the Seventh Pay Commission, the DA of Madhya Pradesh employees has been increased by 4 percent, which is applicable from January 2023.

These states have also increased DA earlier

Apart from these two states, Karnataka government has increased DA by 4 percent, Odisha government by 4 percent and Jharkhand-Himachal Pradesh government has increased DA by 3 to 4 percent. Significantly, the dearness allowance is increased twice a year. The first hike is done during July and the second during January. This increase is done during the financial year.
