Delhi Education Minister Atishi on MCD School: Education Minister Atishi in the Delhi government did a surprise inspection of the MCD school located in Sagarpur on Wednesday (May 9) morning. During the inspection, he found that the school is full of filth, cobwebs on the walls, children’s swings are broken, plaster is coming off from the ceiling of the classroom, paint is coming off due to dampness. Part of the building has become a junkyard where broken desks are full and they have not been disposed of for years.
The Education Minister reprimanded the school principal and said that all the problems related to cleanliness in the school should be rectified immediately, otherwise be ready for strict action against you. He said that the poor condition of cleanliness in the school shows the insensitive attitude of the school administration towards the future of the children studying here and such negligence towards education cannot be tolerated at all. Giving the ultimatum to the principal and the education officer, he said that they should run the school responsibly, otherwise be ready for suspension.
check officer check
Education Minister Atishi instructed the officials during the inspection that the plaster of the school building, which was completed only 7 years ago, has already started peeling off, due to dampness, crust is forming on the walls. Overall, the building has started going into a dilapidated condition. This simply means that there has been massive corruption in the construction. He instructed that the officials should investigate what is the reason for the dilapidation of the building in such a short time and strict action should be taken against whoever is found guilty.
On the plight of the school, Education Minister Atishi instructed that the officials should check how many times the school inspector visited the school during the last year and took any action regarding the plight of the school. He said that if the school inspector does not take any necessary steps to remove these problems, then action should be taken.
‘Children get quality education’
Seeing the deteriorating condition of the school, Education Minister Atishi gave an ultimatum to the principal and the education officer that the school should be properly maintained, cleaned properly and if this is not done then be ready for suspension. He said that such a condition of the school is unacceptable.
It is the duty of the principal in the school to ensure that all children get quality education in a clean and safe environment. But seeing such condition of the school, it is clear that the school administration is insensitive to the future of the children studying here. He said that this condition of the school is the reason for the indifference shown towards the education of the children studying here.
The concerned authorities should take this matter seriously and work towards ensuring that all children in MCD schools get the education they deserve. Education Minister Atishi blamed the 15-year rule of the BJP in the Municipal Corporation for this bad condition of the MCD school.
BJP ruined MCD schools
Education Minister Atishi said that BJP has only done the work of destroying schools during its entire rule of MCD. It is clear from the dilapidated condition of the school that for so many years only the future of the children was played with in the MCD. He said that parents send their children to government schools with the belief that they will be taken care of there, but far from taking care of the children, the BJP has been bent on ruining the future of the children of MCD schools for so many years.
MCD schools are becoming den of corruption under BJP rule, it is the result of this that this school built just 7 years ago is becoming dilapidated today.
