Imran Khan Arrest: A hearing was held in the Supreme Court on Thursday (May 11) regarding the arrest of Imran Khan, former Prime Minister of Pakistan and chief of Tehreek-e-Insaf (PTI). In the hearing presided over by Chief Justice Umar Ata Bandial, the court expressed displeasure over Imran’s arrest. Along with this, his arrest was declared illegal.

The court said that by arresting Imran Khan from the premises of the Islamabad High Court, the reputation of the judiciary has been hurt. During the hearing, Chief Justice Bandial said that an atmosphere of fear was created in the court. Court has asked NAB that how can anyone be arrested from the court?

The hearing bench said that no one can be arrested from the court. NAB has insulted the court. At the same time, at around 4 pm, the Supreme Court asked Imran Khan to appear in the court within an hour. Along with this, Chief Justice Bandial gave strict instructions that political leaders and activists should not come to the Supreme Court on the arrival of Imran Khan.

‘Permission should be taken before arrest’

On the arrest of Imran Khan, the court said that if a person has surrendered before the court, then what is the meaning of arresting him? In this way no one will consider himself safe even in the court for justice in future. The Chief Justice said in clear words that permission should have been taken from the registrar before the arrest.

NAB reprimanded by the Supreme Court

Significantly, a three-judge bench of the Supreme Court heard the petition of PTI chief Imran Khan. Chief Justice Umar Ata Bandial, Justice Muhammad Ali Mazhar and Justice Athar Minallah should be included in the bench. During this, Justice Athar Minallah remarked that NAB has been doing this for many years. Elected public representatives are being arrested, this process should be stopped.

During the hearing, the Chief Justice asked how many people arrested Imran Khan? On this, Imran Khan’s lawyer Salman Safdar said that he was arrested by 80 to 100 people. Let us inform that Imran Khan has been arrested in the Al Qadir Trust case. This matter is related to the land of the university. in this matter Imran Khan Along with this, the name of his wife Bushra Biwi is also included. However, his wife has not been arrested yet.
