Weather update: Nature is wreaking havoc across the country. The national capital Delhi has not got relief from the floods. Moderate to heavy rain is expected in Delhi on Saturday 15th July as well. The Meteorological Department has issued a yellow alert. The water level of the Yamuna river in the capital has decreased marginally, yet people are facing floods. The water level of Yamuna near Lohe Pul is 208.07 metres. 57 thousand 363 cusecs of water was released from Hathini Kund barrage on 14th July at 8 pm. Due to which the water level of Yamuna may increase once again.
Monsoon rains in Himachal Pradesh have normalized life. The Meteorological Department has issued a yellow alert for heavy rains till July 18. The state government has appealed to all the people of the state to be careful. Himachal Pradesh Chief Minister Sukhwinder Singh Sukhu has given a statement regarding the disaster in the state. He said that out of 75 thousand tourists, 67 thousand have been rescued so far. Rescue is going on to save the rest of the people. Floods and rains in Himachal have also affected the production of vegetables.
Things could get worse
The Meteorological Department has issued a yellow alert for rain in Punjab, Haryana and Chandigarh. The Meteorological Department says that the Western Disturbance seems to be active once again. Because of which a rain alert has been issued. In the coming days, the maximum temperature can go up to 34 degree Celsius, while the minimum temperature is going to remain up to 26 degree Celsius. The situation in Punjab can get worse. The water level in the rivers has already increased, if it rains then the water level may increase further. Due to which the situation of flood can be created once again.
