Significantly, after the violent protests across the country on May 9, some people in the government want to ban PTI. Pakistan’s Home Minister Rana Sanaullah has made it clear that banning PTI is the only solution.
At the same time, the Defense Minister of the country has also advocated for banning PTI. In this sequence, the President of Pakistan People’s Party (PPP) and the current Foreign Minister of the country Bilawal Bhutto Zardari had also said that his party would not oppose any move to ban PTI.

In such a situation, on the question of possible ban of journalists, Imran Khan said, “If they (PTI) are banned, we will form a new party with a new name and still win the election.” Not only this, the former prime minister further said that ‘even if they disqualify me and put me in jail, the party will win’.
The PTI chief further emphasized that even though things have changed a lot in politics, his supporters are still together. In such a situation, it is certain that his new party will also win the election. On the ongoing crackdown on his party, Imran Khan said that the government is ‘still trying to break it through intimidation’.
