Balrampur Leopard Attack: Five villagers have been injured in the leopard attack in Balrampur. The incident is of Bhujehra village of Sohelwan forest area. It is being told that the villagers were working in the fields. Suddenly the leopard attacked the villagers. There was hue and cry on the spot due to the attack of the leopard. The injured villagers have been admitted to the hospital. There is a lot of anger among the villagers due to the negligence of the forest department. On the spot, the team of Forest Department is busy in search of leopard. Recently, a girl child had died in a leopard attack.
Five villagers injured in leopard attack
It is being told that a young man named Shravan Kumar was extracting soil from the field in the village. Suddenly a female leopard with cubs came out of the bushes and attacked Shravan Kumar. Hearing the screams, Indra, Om Prakash, Margathu, Karta Ram working in the fields ran to save the young man. The leopard also attacked the villagers who came to save him. The leopard fled towards the forest before other villagers reached the spot. With the help of people, the injured were admitted to the community center Shivpura.
Forest Department team engaged in catching
A forest team has been sent on the spot along with Regional Forest Officer M Baksh Singh. Instructions have been issued to install a cage to catch the leopard. Villagers have been advised not to go to forest areas. Leopard terror was also seen in Kushamhara village of Bhabhar range. On Thursday, seven-year-old Ragini, who had gone to press mustard oil with her elder sister, was attacked by a leopard. Ragini, who was seriously injured in the leopard attack, was referred to Bahraich. Ragini died on the way before reaching the hospital. There is an atmosphere of panic in the village after the incident. The villagers protested accusing the Forest Department of negligence.
