In a video posted on Telegram, Prigozhin claimed his fighters had captured the eastern Ukrainian town of Bakhmut, the center of the bloodiest war with Ukraine in more than a year. However, he admitted that his attack also caused large-scale destruction in the city. Ruined buildings and the sounds of explosions coming from a distance were heard in his video. After this video surfaced, Deputy Defense Minister of Ukraine Hanna Maliar said that the fighting is going on.
