About 90 trains canceled, 46 diverted due to Odisha train accident;  learn update


Indian Railway Canceled Train on 4th June: Railways has canceled about 90 trains due to the Odisha train accident. At the same time, the routes of 46 trains have been changed. It has been informed by the Indian Railways that most of the Southern and South Western trains have been affected. 11 trains have also been short terminated.

According to data from the Railways, South Western Railway has canceled trains like Chennai-Howrah Mail, Darbhanga-Kanyakumari Express and Kamakhya-LTT Express starting from June 3. Apart from this, the Patna-Puri special train has also been cancelled.

Many trains are canceled from June 3

Southern Railway has canceled trains like Mangalore-Santragachi Vivek Superfast Express from June 3. Dr. MGR Chennai Central – Shalimar Coromandel Express leaves Chennai at 7.00 am on June 4, Dr. MGR Chennai Central – Santragachi AC Superfast train leaves Chennai at 8.10 am on June 4. These trains have also been cancelled.

Railways has informed that apart from this, the Rangapara North-Erode Superfast Special has also been canceled from June 3. Guwahati-Shri M. Visvesvaraya Bengaluru Tri-Weekly Superfast Express and Kamakhya-Shri M. Visvesvaraya Bengaluru AC Superfast Express have also been cancelled.

Arrangement of special train for stranded passengers

Railway has informed that 11 trains have been short terminated. It is worth mentioning that on June 3, South Eastern Railway ran a MEMU special train from Howrah to Balasore at 4 pm to take the relatives of the affected passengers due to the derailment of the train at Bahanaga Bazar. At the same time, the Railways is also arranging a special train for the family members of the affected passengers from Chennai to Bhadrak.

288 people died so far

Let us tell you that on Friday, a big accident happened due to the collision of three trains in Balasore, Odisha. So far 288 people have died in this and more than 900 people have been injured.
