Jharkhand Crime: A case of love jihad has come to light in West Singhbhum district, where a boy, hiding his identity, allegedly sexually assaulted a girl of another religion and got her pregnant. A case was registered against the accused under rape and POCSO Act and he was arrested and sent to jail.

The case pertains to Chakradharpur police station area of West Singhbhum district. Chakradharpur police station in-charge Chandrashekhar Kumar said that taking the matter seriously, the police arrested the accused within twenty-four hours of the complaint being filed and sent him to jail on Monday.
Having sex with a girl pretending to be a Hindu
According to information, Adnan Khan, son of railway employee Akhtar Khan, a resident of Chakradharpur Loco Colony, befriended a Hindu minor girl two years ago by calling himself Amit Kumar, after which both of them fell in love. After this, the girlfriend repeatedly asked Adnan about his religion, but the young man kept calling himself Amit Kumar, a resident of Bihar. During this, there was a physical relationship between the two and in this way the minor became pregnant. The accused took the girl into his confidence and married her in a Shiva temple in Devgaon and then later forced her to have an abortion by feeding her pills. A few days later, the young man took the girl to his home, but her family refused to accept her as his daughter-in-law.

On the opposition of the family, the boy left the minor at his house, but even after this both of them continued to meet, during this meeting there was a physical relationship between the two again and the minor girl is now two months pregnant. When the minor girl told this to her mother, her mother reached Chakradharpur police station to seek justice for her daughter and lodged a complaint.
The accused drives an e-rickshaw, the victim’s father is not
It is to be known that the accused youth drives an e-rickshaw while the victim is not the girl’s father and her mother works at home and runs her family. After receiving a written complaint, the police registered a case against the accused Adnan Khan under the Rape and POCSO Act and arrested him on Sunday. On Monday, after getting his medical done at Chakradharpur subdivision hospital, he was sent to Chaibasa jail.
