KKR got a big blow, leaving IPL 2023 in the middle, the big player returned home


Indian Premier League 2023: In the 16th season of IPL, Kolkata Knight Riders (KKR) has got another big blow in the form of Liton Das, who has returned home due to a family medical emergency. Now the wicket-keeper batsman’s chances of playing in the remaining matches of this season of IPL are also very less as the Bangladesh Cricket Board (BCB) had issued NOC to him only till May 4.

28-year-old Liton Das was included in his team by Kolkata Knight Riders for 50 lakh rupees for this season. After this, he got a chance to play in only 1 match which he played while making his debut against Delhi Capitals (DC). In this match, Liton Das scored only 4 runs in 4 balls.

Now Liton Das has to leave with the Bangladesh team to take part in the 3-match ODI series on the tour of Ireland. In a statement issued by KKR, he said that Liton Das had to leave for Bangladesh this morning due to a family emergency. We are with his family in this difficult time.

KKR has not performed well this season so far

Talking about the performance of Kolkata Knight Riders this season, it has not been seen on the field as expected. The team has won only 3 out of 8 matches played so far this season and has lost in 5. KKR’s team is currently at the 7th position in the points table with 6 points. If the team has to secure its place in the playoffs, then it will have to show a much better game in the coming matches.
