Rajouri Road Accident: Two army soldiers died in a road accident on Saturday (April 29) in Rajouri, Jammu and Kashmir. At the same time, three other soldiers were also injured in this accident. The accident happened in Kerry sector near the Line of Actual Control (LoC). The incident took place when the vehicle in which the army personnel were traveling fell into a deep gorge.
As soon as the information about the accident was received, the army, police and rescue teams have reached the spot. The injured are being taken to the hospital. Army officials are investigating after reaching the spot. Officials said the ambulance met with an accident near Dungi Gala near the Line of Control when its driver lost control at a turn. He told that the ambulance driver and a jawan died in the accident. Rescue workers have taken out their bodies from the ditch.
A similar incident happened last year as well.
One of the jawans who were martyred was a resident of Bihar, while the other jawan was a local resident. Earlier in December last year, 16 army personnel were killed and four others were injured when their vehicle skidded off a steep slope near North Sikkim.
