Papua New Guinea: US President Joe Biden and Indian Prime Minister Narendra Modi will attend a meeting with the leaders of the Pacific Islands next month. Future strategy will be discussed in this meeting. This information was given by the Prime Minister of Papua New Guinea James Marpe on Sunday. 

The Prime Minister of Papua New Guinea said that this is historic for us. Because a meeting is going to be held in the largest country of the Pacific Ocean regarding the future strategy of global superpowers. Papua New Guinea is being welcomed by China and the US and its allies as Marape seeks to encourage foreign investment. Earlier Chinese President Xi Jinping had visited the nation in 2018.

Before the meeting of Biden and PM Modi, James Marpe said that when it comes to Indo-Pacific talks, Papua New Guinea and the Pacific cannot be ignored. With our combined forest and marine areas, we have the world’s largest carbon sink, plus we have the largest sea and air space on Earth. It is known that 30 million square kilometers (10 million square miles) of ocean covers the 18 countries and territories of the Pacific Islands Forum. Modi and Biden will stop in Papua New Guinea on their way to Australia for the May 24 summit of the Quad. Japan and Australia are also involved in this meeting.
