Gadchiroli Naxalite Encounter: At least three Maoists carrying a reward of Rs 38 lakh were killed in a police encounter in Maharashtra’s Gadchiroli on Sunday (April 30). Gadchiroli DIG Sandeep Patil told news agency ANI, “Three Naxals were killed in an encounter with the police at Manne Rajaram in Aheri tehsil. The police have recovered the bodies of all three. The encounter took place around 6 pm on Sunday. There was a reward of Rs 38 lakh on the killed Maoists.

According to the police, information was received that ‘Perimilli Dalam’ and ‘Aheri Dalam’ were camping in the forest area of ​​Kedamara between Manne Rajaram and Perimilly Armed Post. On the basis of information, a search operation was conducted. Two C-60 crews were dropped from Pranhita. During the operation, the parties were fired upon by the Naxalites. Retaliatory firing was done on this. After the firing, the police conducted a search operation and the bodies of three Naxalites were recovered.

According to the police, the slain Maoists have been identified as Commander Bitlu Madhavi of Perimilly Dalam, Vasu of Perimilly Dalam and Srikanth of Aheri Dalam.
