Brain Dead Roop Chandra Singh: We all have been doing charity work in some way or the other. The biggest donation is called organ donation. That is because by doing so the life of another person can be saved. One such case has come to the fore in which a 59-year-old man gave lives to 5 people by donating his organs.
According to news agency ANI, Roop Chandra Singh was seriously injured in a road accident on 30 April. After which he was brought to the trauma center of AIIMS. Due to severe head injury, he was declared brain dead in AIIMS. In such a situation, the option of organ donation is kept with the family and Roop Chandra Singh’s family agrees for his organ donation.

My father was a very good person. He was kind and always helping people. He lost his life in a road accident, but I am proud that many lives can be saved by his organ donation. This is to say of Nagendra, son of Roopchandra (59), a resident of Aligarh, Uttar Pradesh.
What does AIIMS have to say?
AIIMS staff says that initially they did not know anything about it. Later he was introduced to the people of Orbio and when told about it, he agreed. In the month of March itself, another organ donor also shared his family’s experiences.
At the same time, a senior doctor said that Roopchandra Singh’s organs were handed over to various hospitals through the National Organ and Tissue Transplant Organization (NOTTO). His heart was referred to Apollo Hospital, liver to AHRR (Army Hospital Research and Referral) Hospital and kidneys to AIIMS and RML (Ram Manohar Lohia) hospitals. The doctor said that his cornea has been kept at the National Eye Bank in AIIMS.
