In fact, some scientists at the University of Texas have created an AI tool that can read people’s minds through functional magnetic resonance imaging (f-MRI) scans. That is, this tool will decode brain activity and with the help of computational technology, it will tell you in writing what you are thinking.
Four scientists from the University of Texas at Austin recorded the brain activity of three different people for 16 hours using functional magnetic resonance imaging (f-MRI) scans. During this, a story was told to all three. To decode whatever activity the brains of these three people did, the scientist created a tool like Chat GPT and with its help everything was decoded. In simple words, just understand that a tool has been created that can convert people’s brain activity into conversation. Although with the help of this AI model, the exact result did not come, but a blue print scientist got what these people are thinking.
This was the accuracy of the AI tool
Scientists say that the accuracy of the results was up to 82 percent. The AI model was 72-82 percent accurate in decoding what the three people saw and heard, while the accuracy in decoding imagination was around 41-74 percent. At the same time, the accuracy in decoding silent films was between 21-45 percent. That is, they were able to decode up to 45% of what these three people saw and understood in the silent film. This research has been published in Nature Neuroscience General.
