However, whenever a person eats curd at night, one thing must be kept in mind that eat it in small quantity. This is because it is a dairy product that is rich in fat and protein, which may be difficult for some individuals to digest at night, leading to late night discomfort or indigestion. But if you don’t have any digestive problems, you can include a limited amount of curd in your diet  even in your dinner. 

Curd has sour and sweet properties

Something similar was shared by nutrition and wellness consultant Neha Sahay on Instagram. According to Ayurveda, curd has both sour and sweet properties, and it produces kapha in the body. If you eat it at night then it is possible that you may start having phlegm problem. Also, a lot of mucus starts forming in the respiratory tract. Although this does not happen with every person. Only people suffering from asthma, cough and cold should avoid this food at night as it produces mucus. Curd is a great source of protein in vegetarian food. Perfect for stomach and intestine. Aids digestion, is low in calories. It is rich in  calcium and phosphorus. Consume freshly frozen curd at home to get maximum benefits.

Yogurt is a rich source of probiotics  which are live bacteria and yeasts that are good for gut health. These probiotics improve digestion, boost immunity and are very good for the gut. Curd is also rich in calcium and protein, which is very good for bone health and muscles. Yogurt is rich in vitamin B12 and riboflavin, which are great for healthy skin and hair. 

Curd is generally beneficial for everyone. People who have lactose intolerance or are allergic to dairy products should avoid eating curd. Also, people who have kidney problems or high cholesterol should absolutely avoid eating curd

The best time to eat curd is afternoon

The best time to eat curd is during the day, preferably in the morning or afternoon, as it is easy to digest. You can have it for breakfast or as a meal, such as with rice or vegetables. Adding small amounts of fruit, such as bananas or mangoes, can also increase the flavor and nutritional value of yogurt.

Can we eat curd in any season, summer or winter?

Yes, curd can be eaten in any season. "However, during the summer months, it is best eaten fresh and chilled with curd. If you are suffering from cold or cough, then you should not eat curd in winter months as it is very cold.
