Atiq Ahmed Shootout: Shaista Parveen had come to Prayagraj after getting the news of the murder of mafia don Atiq Ahmed and his brother Ashraf. She wanted to see Atiq for the last time after his murder, wanted to see his face for the last time before he was handed over to the cemetery, but she could not do so because of the strict police guard. According to sources, Sabir, the shooter of the Umesh Pal murder case, was also with Shaista. Both wanted to see Atiq once.
Sources claim that after the murder of Atiq Ahmed, his wife Shaista Parveen came to Prayagraj on 16 April. Shaista was staying here at the house of a very close friend of Atiq Ahmed in Khuldabad area. She wanted to see Atiq’s face for the last time before he was handed over to the graveyard. According to sources, Sabir was also the shooter of Umesh Pal shootout case along with Shaista. Both wanted to go to the Kasari Masari cemetery that day so that they could attend Atiq Ahmed’s funeral and see him for the last time.

Shaista was about to go to the cemetery amidst a crowd of burqa-clad women. But Shaista had to change her mind after the police administration converted the entire area around the Kasari Masari cemetery into a cantonment. Shaista could not gather the courage to go to the cemetery after seeing the live pictures of the security arrangements in the media. The ID of every person entering the cemetery was being checked and his photographs were being taken, due to which Shaista and Sabir’s plan failed.
According to reports, Shaista and Sabir stayed at Zafar’s house close to Atiq on the night of April 16, after which both of them went back on the morning of April 17. On May 2, Sabir once again came to this house. Shaista had sent him here for financial help. On May 2 also, after staying for some time, Sabir went back from here.
Shaista came to Prayagraj after Atiq’s murder
After this news, questions are also being raised on the functioning of Prayagraj Police. Shaista Parveen and Sabir, whom the Prayagraj police are looking for all over the country, stays in the city after the murder of her husband and the police do not even get a clue about it. The police came to know about this during the detention of Atin Zafar, a friend of Shaista Parveen’s son Asad Ahmed, who was killed in a police encounter. It was Atin Zafar who used Asad’s mobile phone and ATM card during the Umesh Pal shootout case.
Shaista and Sabir stayed at Atin Zafar’s father Zafar Ullah’s house on 16 April. Zafar is an accused in the Deoria jail case along with Atiq Ahmed.
