Two deaths have been reported on Sunday (May 7) from Congo Virus in Pakistan’s Karachi and Quetta. After this, the government has issued a warning to the health officials.

According to the report of Pakistani health officials, the first death due to Congo virus was a 20-year-old pregnant Afghan woman. The name of an Afghan woman is Gul Naz. Symptoms of the virus were found in him, after which he was admitted to Fatima Jinnah Chest Hospital in Quetta. The Afghan woman was bleeding from the mouth and nose. The woman’s blood sample was sent to the laboratory, which was found to have died of the Congo virus.

Third incident of Congo virus in last 10 days
Doctor Zubair Ahmed, who works at Fatima Jinnah Chest Hospital in Quetta, told the Pakistani newspaper Dawn that the Afghan woman could not survive. He died on Sunday (May 7) morning itself. Dr. Zubair Ahmed confirmed that this is the third incident of death from Congo virus in the last 10 days. At the same time, in the last four months, four people have died due to Congo virus. He said that all the patients had gone to Afghanistan.

Congo virus case in Karachi too
Apart from Quetta in Pakistan, a case of death of a patient due to Congo virus has also come to light in Karachi. Karachi’s Sindh Health Department has confirmed the death of a 28-year-old man in Karachi. The person who died is said to be a resident of Liaquatabad. His name is Mohammad Adil, who was a meat seller. The victim initially complained of headache and fever, two days later his problem worsened, after which he was admitted to a private hospital.

The victim was treated in the hospital for a day. During this, the process of bleeding from his mouth and nose continued. The hospital official told that initially the patient was tested for dengue and malaria, which came negative. However, the patient died on 4 May.
