To cast vote through facial recognition system, Election Commission of India has launched Chunavana app which you can download from Play Store. In this app, first voters have to upload their details and photo. After the details are uploaded, voters can cast their vote directly by doing their facial verification at the polling booth. They do not need to stand in line and get the verification done. However, right now this program is in the pilot phase, so it is advised that you must carry your documents as well.
Facility will be available only in this polling booth
According to the Money Control report, the EC will install the Facial Recognition System in Room No. 2 of the Government Ramanarayana Chellaram College, Palace Road, Bengaluru, Karnataka, which is near the Karnataka Chief Electoral Office. Under this system, the voter will have to get his face verification done, after which he can cast his vote directly. Keep in mind, upload a clean photo on the app so that your verification is done immediately at the polling booth.
