Karnataka: Maharashtra Chief Minister Eknath Shinde on Monday (May 8) said that the people of Karnataka will elect a double-engine government to maintain the momentum of the Centre’s implemented development projects. Speaking to reporters in Udupi on the last day of campaigning for the Karnataka assembly elections, Shinde said two separate governments at the Center and in the state create hurdles in the implementation of big projects.
He said that Maharashtra is now implementing projects with the wholehearted cooperation of the Central government and Karnataka has also reaped the benefits of the double-engine government as the Center has spent thousands of crores of rupees on the state’s projects in the last four years.
