Imran Khan Arrest News: The arrest of former Pakistan Prime Minister Imran Khan has been declared valid by the Islamabad High Court. Pakistani news portal Dawn has published this information in its report. Earlier in the day, Chief Justice of the Islamabad High Court Aamer Farooq had said that if the Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf chief was arrested illegally, he would have to be released. The court had reserved this decision. A few hours later, the court said that the National Accountability Bureau (NAB) has completed all legal formalities while arresting Imran.
Imran Khan was arrested by paramilitary forces on Tuesday (May 9) when he was present in the Islamabad High Court for a hearing in a corruption case. Imran Khan and the counter-attack in the army
A day earlier, 70-year-old Khan had accused the country’s army of allegedly conspiring to assassinate him. Pakistan’s army had alleged a day earlier that Khan was making baseless allegations against a senior officer of the intelligence agency ISI.

Why was Imran Khan arrested?
An official of the National Accountability Bureau (NAB) confirmed that “Khan has been arrested in a case of transfer of land, property baron Malik Riaz and is being handed over to NAB”. The caretaker government of Punjab called in the Rangers and imposed Section 144 to control the law and order situation in the province. Under this, not more than five people can gather at one place. The Punjab government also requested the Telecom Authority of Pakistan to suspend internet and mobile services in areas of the province where violent protests have taken place.

Where is Imran Khan?

The channel also said that NAB is preparing to produce him in the Anti-Corruption Court (on May 10) and obtain his custody for further investigation in the matter.

Barrister Gauhar Khan claims Imran was harassed
‘Dawn’ quoted barrister Gauhar Khan, who was present in the court during Khan’s arrest, as saying that the former prime minister was “harassed”. “They hit Imran on the head and leg… His wheelchair was also thrown during the arrest,” the paper quoted Gauhar as saying.
