Karnataka Election Result 2023: Congress is moving towards a bumper victory in Karnataka elections. On this, Karnataka Congress President DK Shivakumar got emotional and said that he did not forget the day when Sonia Gandhi came to meet him in jail.
Meanwhile, the statement of DK Shivakumar is in discussion, which he gave immediately after the exit polls. Shivakumar had said after exit polls that Congress would win 141 seats. This seems to be coming true as according to the Election Commission’s figures till 3.30 pm, the Congress seems to be winning a total of 136 seats. Out of this, the party has won 68 seats and is leading on 68.

Shivakumar had said after the exit polls that I am sure the Congress will win 141 seats. The wave is in our favor. In such a situation, I do not trust exit polls, after all it is an exit poll. He said that I am saying this because our sample size is bigger than that of exit polls. In fact, in the exit polls conducted after the elections, the Congress had emerged as the single largest party, but in most it was being given 110 to 130 seats.
How many seats did BJP and JDS get?
The Election Commission said that out of 224 seats in the Karnataka Legislative Assembly, BJP has won 30 seats and is leading in 34. Whereas JDS has won 12 seats and is leading in 8. Any party needs 113 seats for a majority.

Congress leader DK Shivakumar said that I had assured Sonia Gandhi, Rahul Gandhi, Priyanka Gandhi and Mallikarjun Kharge that we will win the Karnataka elections. We will decide our course of action in the meeting. Shivkumar claimed that Sonia Gandhi reposed faith in him and thanked her for this.
