Pakistan’s Higher Education Commission also sent Chief Minister Khalid Khurshid’s degree to London University to check, where his degree was declared false. After this truth comes to the fore, legal action can be taken against them and a criminal case can be filed against them.

Khalid Khurshid had obtained a degree with a diploma which operated under the name Belford University, but it did not actually exist. Khalid Khurshid had gone to England for some time. After that, when he returned to Pakistan, his relatives and close assistants started considering him as a barrister. He got the benefit of this to become the Chief Minister.

Moreover, when he showed his Barrister’s degree, the G-B Bar Council trusted his documents and enrolled him as an advocate and issued him a license to practice.

Khalid Khurshid never actively practiced after getting the license to practice as a lawyer. However, he used to visit the bar room regularly. Yasir Abbas, a member of the Chief Minister’s legal team after the matter came to the fore, said that political parties opposing the CM are trying to defame the Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf (PTI) government in Gilgit Baltistan. They are propagating against their educational qualification.
