Money Laundering Case: Co-accused Ankush and Vaibhav Jain have filed a new default bail petition in the money laundering case involving former Delhi government minister Satyendra Jain, lodged in Tihar Jail. After which the Rouse Avenue Court has issued a notice to the ED on the petition. After the issue of the notice, the next hearing will be held on May 20.
Regarding the matter, the lawyer said that the investigation is still going on, till now even the complete charge sheet has not been filed. The lawyer said that the Supreme Court has said in its decision that leaving Ritu Chhabria’s decision, he can demand default bail. On the same basis, we are filing a new default bail petition.
When Rouse Avenue Court rejected the petition
Earlier in the month of March, the interim bail of accused Vaibhav Jain was rejected by the Rouse Avenue Court. The ED had opposed Vaibhav’s interim bail. Along with this, the ED had also questioned the maintainability of Vaibhav’s interim bail plea. Actually, Vaibhav Jain had to attend the house warming ceremony of one of his relatives, for which he had sought interim bail from the court and the court rejected his bail.
On the other hand, Satyendar Jain, former minister of the Delhi government lodged in Tihar Jail, has requested to increase the number of prisoners in his cell. In fact, he had written a letter to the Superintendent of Tihar Jail number seven, demanding an increase in the number of prisoners in his cell. So that he does not become a victim of loneliness. With this, Satyendar Jain wrote a letter demanding that more than one prisoner be kept with him. On the other hand, Satyendar Jain said that his psychiatrist has advised not to live alone, for which he is making this demand.
