Barapullah Elevated Corridor Project: To facilitate movement between Noida-Greater Noida, Ghaziabad as well as South Delhi to East Delhi of the National Capital Region, the work on the third phase of Barapullah flyover is starting from today. In this phase, the remaining work of 1.5 km long Barapullah Elevated Corridor Phase-3 being constructed from Mayur Vihar Phase-1 to Sarai Kale Khan is starting from today. It will take one and a half years to complete the remaining work of 750 meters, after which people will be able to easily complete their journey on the signal free corridor from Mayur Vihar to AIIMS.

PWD got the land in January itself
The Public Works Department (PWD) had got 25,000 square meters of land in January itself to complete the stalled work of the project. The Revenue Department had given the possession of this land acquired from the farmers to the Public Works Department. However, it took more than 4 months to resume work.

People will be able to travel signal free from Mayur Vihar to AIIMS
The Revenue Department of the Delhi Government has to acquire about 35 thousand square meters of farmers’ land for the Elevated Barapula Corridor Phase-3 and hand it over to the PWD. Now 25 thousand square meters of land has been given, the remaining 10 thousand square meters of land will be given to the PWD in the next two months. On getting the land to PWD, 37 pillars are to be built on this land. The whole process of foundation and slab will take about a year. After this, it will take another 6 months to make it fit for vehicular traffic. Opening it for traffic after completion of construction work will benefit thousands of people daily and people will be able to travel signal free from Mayur Vihar to AIIMS.

You will also get relief from traffic jam between Sarai Kale Khan
According to PWD, more than 80 percent work of the project has been completed. The Delhi government has allocated an amount of Rs 100 crore in the current financial year for the project. Angered by the delay in the project, the LG had asked the officials of the Public Works Department to report directly to him. Please tell that due to the construction of the flyover, people will also get relief from the traffic jam between Sarai Kale Khan. After the construction of this corridor, there will be signal free movement in the surrounding areas including Noida, Greater Noida, Ghaziabad, Mayur Vihar.
