According to the report, three people have died in Forli, a city near Bologna. Forli’s mayor, Gian Luca Zattini, said, “The city is on its knees, it is devastated and in more pain.”

Divers recovered two bodies in Forlì on Wednesday morning during a rescue operation carried out by the emergency services and the armed forces. A local authority official said a total of three deaths in Forlì, one in Cesena and one in Cesenatico could be a German man who had been reported missing.

Civil Defense Minister said this about the situation

Forli, Cesena and Ravenna received some 50 centimeters (20 inches) of rain within 36 hours, Civil Protection Minister Nello Musumesi said, which is about half the normal annual rainfall. He told reporters that the situation is still critical. He said that it is still raining and it is likely to lighten up during the day.
