Harbhajan wants to see Rinku and Jaiswal in Team India immediately, said this on Arjun Tendulkar

Harbhajan Singh On IPL Players: Rinku Singh of KKR and Yashasvi Jaiswal of Rajasthan Royals have appeared in excellent form in IPL 2023. Rinku Singh has emerged as a finisher in the tournament, while Jaiswal has established himself as a formidable opener. Seeing the great performance of both the batsmen, former Indian spinner Harbhajan Singh has talked about bringing them in Team India. Apart from this, he also advised Arjun Tendulkar.

Rinku Singh has so far played 13 matches in IPL 2023, in which he has scored 407 runs at an average of 50.88 and a strike rate of 143.31 while playing in the lower order. During this, three half-centuries have come out of his bat. On the other hand, Yashasvi Jaiswal of Rajasthan has scored 575 runs in 13 matches at an average of 47.92 and a strike rate of 166.18. He has also scored a century in this.

Talking to ‘Hindustan Times’ about Rinku Singh and Yashasvi Jaiswal, Harbhajan Singh said, “I definitely believe that when someone is playing well or doing well, they should be part of the system. I am not saying to include them in the playing XI directly, but bring them into the team knowing that if these players are there (around the players), they will definitely learn something and get better.

The former Indian spinner further said, “I think it is the right time for Rinku and Yashasvi to join the close-knit group of players. Make them part of a group of 20 or 30 players. For talents like Yashasvi and Rinku, the impression may be that it will be too early, but truth be told, it is not so. He is already playing at this level and is playing well. Give them a chance now, otherwise it may be too late.

Advised Arjun Tendulkar to do more work

Harbhajan Singh advised Mumbai Indians star all-rounder Arjun Tendulkar to work more on his skills. The former spinner said, “He just needs to get better at his skills. Obviously, everyone takes time. Even a player who has played 50 matches is not guaranteed to be good. He will learn a lot with every match. Of course, it is good to see him bowling on the ground, the way he bowled. We all saw that one costly 31-run over – even the big players got runs, but the good thing is they’ll learn.”

Bhajji further said, “If he did not play, he would not have understood the bitter truth of this game. In the end, it’s only when you run into a race and fall behind that you realize you need to work more on yourself. He will know which areas he needs to work on and how to bounce back. He will come back as a better player.”
