According to news agency ANI, Bommai said in Bengaluru, “Former Prime Minister HD Deve Gowda is a senior leader and he will guide everyone when it comes to land, water and language of Karnataka.” I will come every year and wish former PM Deve Gowda on his birthday, this year also I have come here to wish him.

Congress has won the assembly elections in Karnataka with a clear majority. On May 20, Siddaramaiah will take oath as the Chief Minister of the state and DK Shivakumar as the Deputy Chief Minister. Deve Gowda served as the 11th Prime Minister of India from June 1996 to April 1997. He served as the 14th Chief Minister of Karnataka from 1994 to 1996. He is currently a Rajya Sabha MP representing Karnataka.
