… then will Imran be hanged as well? This is the reason for fear of PTI leaders, punishment in 99% cases


Pakistan Army Act Vs PTI: Pakistan Army has given a stern warning to former Prime Minister of Pakistan and Chief of Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf (PTI) Imran Khan. According to sources, the Pakistan Army has offered Imran to leave Pakistan. The army has told them – if you don’t leave the country, be ready to face the Army Act.

Now the Army Act is being discussed the most in Pakistan, because when such cases are registered, the people convicted are most likely to be punished. Till now many politicians, journalists and human rights activists have been punished under the Army Act in Pakistan. In such a situation, the leaders of Imran Khan’s party PTI are also scared, they are afraid that the Pakistan Army will take action against them under the Army Act.

345 convicted in military court sentenced to death
Let us tell you that the cases related to the Army Act are heard in the Military Court. From where the chances of someone’s escape are very less. It has been revealed from a report that till January 2019, 646 cases came to the military court in Pakistan. Out of them, 641 cases resulted in conviction. Meaning that in 99 percent of the cases there was punishment. In only 5 cases the accused were acquitted. Out of those who appeared in the military court there and were convicted, 345 were sentenced to death. While 296 accused were sentenced to life imprisonment. Of the 45 death row convicts, 56 were hanged.

Difficult to avoid Section-59 of the Army Act!
Recently, it was reported that the preparation to prosecute Imran Khan under the Military Law and the Secrecy Act has been completed. Since then, Imran has been continuously expressing his fear that the Pakistan Army and the Shahbaz government have planned something big against him. According to law experts, more than 100 cases have been registered against Imran in Pakistan so far. But, he is most afraid of the action to be taken under the Army Act. Under Section-59 of the Army Act in Pakistan, if a person is found guilty, he is sentenced to death or life imprisonment.

The former PM who had a bad end
Hussain Shaheed Suhrawardy, who was the Prime Minister of Pakistan from September 1956 to October 1957, was also given a similar punishment. After that, Zulfikar Ali Bhutto, who was the Prime Minister from 1973 to 1977, was arrested under Martial Law Regulation 12. Later on 4 April 1979, he was hanged.
