UPSC Success Story: Don’t know how many candidates dream of becoming an IAS officer after passing the Civil Services Examination and prepare for it. But this dream of everyone does not come true. Some have to wait till the end in the first second attempt. Today we are talking about Ramya who got 46th rank in Civil Services Exam 2021. Who took 6 attempts to reach their goal.
Ramya, who belongs to Coimbatore, had to work hard and struggle since childhood to reach the civil service. The economic condition of Ramya’s family was not good and her mother brought her up in difficult conditions. To make the family financially strong, Ramya decided to stand on her feet as soon as possible and do a job. For this, she took admission in Polytechnic Diploma after the 10th examination. On the basis of good marks in Diploma, he took admission in Coimbatore Institute of Technology. After completing his studies, he got a job as well as got a promotion.
Made up my mind after job
During his studies, when he came to know about the opportunities after diploma, he felt that only better education can change his situation. After this he did MBA from IGNOU. But even after the job, he did not get the expected peace. In the year 2017, he left his job and made up his mind to prepare for the Civil Services Examination.
Tips for the candidates
Ramya’s journey to UPSC was also not easy. He has been filling. He got success in his sixth attempt. Before that he made five attempts but in none of the attempts he cleared the prelims exam. Meanwhile, to keep the economic situation normal, he also did a job of data entry during the preparation of the exam. But he did not give up even after the failures and took the whole process of preparation as a lesson. He says that his mother was always with him in his UPSC journey. Ramya’s advice to the aspirants preparing for the exam is that they should never consider their situation as a weakness rather use it as a better starting point.
