Mamata Banerjee on Abhishek Banerjee: The CBI on Saturday questioned Trinamool Congress (TMC) leader and West Bengal Chief Minister Mamata Banerjee’s nephew Abhishek Banerjee in the school recruitment case. Meanwhile, Mamta Banerjee targeted the central government regarding the central investigative agencies.
TMC Chief Mamata Banerjee said the ‘agency-raj’ of the Center has made her task of governing the state challenging. He made this point on social media on the occasion of the anniversary of TMC coming to power in the state for the first time in 2011 by removing the Left government.

A few hours after Banerjee’s statement, Abhishek Banerjee was interrogated by the CBI at the Nizam Palace. A day earlier, the ED also raided the residence of Sujay Krishna Bhadra, considered close to top TMC leaders, in connection with the school recruitment case probe.

TMC leader Abhishek Banerjee said on receiving CBI summons that I challenge CBI that if they have any evidence of corruption against me, they should arrest me. He has been investigating many cases in Bengal for the last several years. If they have any evidence against me, they should arrest me.
