Rajiv Gandhi Kisan Nyay Yojana: In Chhattisgarh, on the death anniversary of former Prime Minister Rajiv Gandhi, on May 21, 1894 crore 93 lakh rupees will be transferred online to the bank accounts of the farmers of the state under the Rajiv Gandhi Kisan Nyay Yojana scheme. This event will be held in Durg district of Chhattisgarh.
A trust conference will be organized on May 21 at Sankra Patan in Durg district. Congress national president Mallikarjun Kharge can also participate in this event. In this event, CM Bhupesh Baghel (Bhupesh Baghel) will transfer an amount of Rs 1894 crore 93 lakh online to 24 lakh 52 thousand 592 farmers of the state as the first installment of the Rajiv Gandhi Justice Scheme. After this, the amount will be given to the farmers in three more consecutive installments in the months of August, October and March, which will be around Rs 6000 crore.
Chhattisgarh government giving subsidy to farmers
The Government of Chhattisgarh has made a provision of Rs 6800 crore under this scheme in the current financial year, but in view of the number of registered farmers, area and record purchase of paddy in the last Kharif season, the amount of input subsidy given to farmers under this scheme has been increased. The amount is estimated to be around 8000 crores. Under the Rajiv Gandhi Kisan Nyay Yojana, with the aim of reducing the cost of agriculture and promoting crop diversification, the Government of Chhattisgarh is giving an input subsidy of Rs 9,000 per acre to farmers producing Kharif crops.
Input subsidy of Rs 8208 crore has been given
Under this scheme implemented from Kharif year 2019, input subsidy of Rs 18208 crore has been given to the farmers of the state so far. Under this scheme in the current financial year, farmers will get about Rs 8000 crore as input subsidy in four installments. Under the Rajiv Gandhi Kisan Nyay Yojana, Rs 5627 crore 2 lakh was distributed as input subsidy to 18.43 lakh paddy growers of Kharif year 2019 at the rate of Rs 10 thousand per acre.
On the other hand, 20.59 lakh paddy producing farmers of Kharif year 2020 were paid Rs 5553 crore 8 lakh in their bank accounts. From the year 2021, all kharif crops and horticulture crops have been included in this scheme. Along with this, a provision was made to give input subsidy of Rs 9 thousand per acre to the productive farmers every year.
