Mussoorie News: Mussoorie Municipality organized a program at the Town Hall on the completion of 200 years of the foundation day of Mussoorie. Lieutenant General (retd) Anil Kumar Bhatt, former Director General Military Operations and Uttarakhand Tourism Minister Satpal Maharaj participated as the chief guest in the programme. He inaugurated the program by lighting the lamp. Mayor Sunil Uniyal Gama was also present on this occasion, on the other hand famous historians and professors boycotted the event
Professor and historian of Mussoorie, is angry with the municipality for tampering with the history here. He says that there is evidence in history that Mussoorie was established in 1827, in such a situation, the foundation day is being celebrated by the municipality 4 years ago, which is wrong. On the other hand, in a program organized at the Town Hall of Mussoorie, many distinguished people were honored for their special contribution to the family and the city of Captain Young.

Tourism Minister Satpal Maharaj said that on completion of 200 years of Mussoorie, the foundation day is being celebrated by Mussoorie Municipality. Mussoorie, the queen of mountains, is a very beautiful hill station and more work needs to be done to develop tourism here. The historical places here have to be protected. He said that it is necessary to save the historical heritage of Mussoorie. If this heritage ends, history will not survive. The state government will try to celebrate 200 years of Mussoorie on a grand scale.

Tourism Minister Satpal Maharaj said, Chardham Yatra is going on successfully and the weather has also become fine. In the past days, due to bad weather, there were many problems in the yatra, so far 154406 people have visited Yamunotri, 218907 in Gangotri, 369302 in Kedarnath and 270008 in Badrinath. The total number of devotees visiting the four Dhams has gone up to 10,58,626. Helicopter service is also continuing duly. The Yatra of Hemkund Sahib is also going to start successfully. So far 40970 people have been registered.
Satpal Maharaj said, to improve the roads of the state, the app has been released by the government. People can send photos of potholes and bad roads in their vicinity, which will be rectified within 7 days and sent back to the complainant. A circuit is being made by connecting various tourist places and religious places in Uttarakhand, due to which the travelers and devotees get a lot of benefits in terms of travel and tourism.
