7th Pay Commission DA Hike: There has been an increase in the salary of government employees of different states in a few months. After the DA Hike News of the Central Government, many states have increased the dearness allowance of the employees. The DA is now being given by the central government at 42 per cent, which was earlier 38 per cent. This increase is applicable from 1 January 2023.

Dearness allowance is increased twice a year. However, the government can also postpone it according to the circumstances. DA is released on six months. This means that the first hike is done in January and the second hike in July. The DA of January has been increased by states like UP, Tamil Nadu, Assam and Rajasthan.

How much has Tamil Nadu increased DA

The Tamil Nadu government has recently increased the DA by 4 per cent, which means that now the dearness allowance has gone up from 38 per cent to 42 per cent. This will benefit 16 lakh employees and pensioners. These new rates will be considered from April 1, 2023.

Benefits of employees of Uttar Pradesh

Dearness allowance has also been increased for the employees of Uttar Pradesh. Here also 42 percent DA is being given to government employees and pensioners. This decision will benefit 16.35 lakh employees and 11 pensioners.

DA increased in Bihar

The Bihar government has also announced a DA hike while giving a big gift to the employees. The DA of the employees is to be increased by 4 percent here. Pensioners will also be given the benefit of this increase.

Dearness Allowance has also increased in Himachal, Assam and Rajasthan

In Himachal, the DA of the employees has been increased by 3 percent. On the other hand, DA has been increased by 4 percent in Rajasthan and the employees in Assam have been given the gift of 4 percent DA increase.
