North East to get first Vande Bharat, trial run on Guwahati-New Jalpaiguri route


Vande Bharat Express: Northeast is going to get first Vande Bharat Express on Guwahati-New Jalpaiguri route. Sanjay Chilwarwar, Additional Divisional Railway Manager (ADRM) of North Eastern Railway told on Saturday (May 20) that the 17th Vande Bharat train will connect Assam (Assam) to West Bengal (West Bengal). This six-day-a-week train will be the third Vande Bharat train in West Bengal after NJP-Howrah and Howrah-Puri trains. The semi-high speed train will cover a distance of about 410 km within 6 hours.

Trial run on Sunday

The first trial run of this eight-coach train took place on Sunday. Northeast Frontier Railway tweeted that Vande Bharat Express, a symbol of rail travel with speed and latest amenities, reached Guwahati Railway Station for the first time today during a trial run conducted from New Jalpaiguri. Earlier, Railway Minister Ashwini Vaishnav had said that PM Modi has set a target of running Vande Bharat in almost all the states by June. He said that Vande Metro is being designed for a distance of less than 100 km and for daily travel.

Odisha got its first Vande Bharat train last week

Manufactured at the Integral Coach Factory (ICF) in Chennai, the Vande Bharat Express is a self-propelled train equipped with state-of-the-art facilities to provide a hassle-free travel experience. Last week, Odisha got its first Vande Bharat train running between Puri to Howrah, which was launched by PM Modi via video conferencing.

At present the train is running on these routes

Currently Vande Bharat train is running on 16 routes. These include New Delhi-Varanasi, New Delhi-Shri Mata Vaishno Devi Katra (Jammu-Kashmir), Gandhinagar-Mumbai, New Delhi-Amb Andaura, Chennai-Mysore, Nagpur-Bilaspur, Howrah-New Jalpaiguri, Secunderabad-Vishakhapatnam, Mumbai-Solapur. , Mumbai-Shirdi, Hazrat Nizamuddin-Rani Kamalapati Station, Secunderabad-Tirupati, Chennai-Coimbatore, Ajmer-Delhi Cantt, Thiruvananthapuram-Kasaragod, Puri-Howrah.
