Kashmir G20 Meeting: The meeting of the third tourism working group of G20 countries is going to start in Srinagar from today. Tight security arrangements have been made to successfully host the international event. The meeting to be held today will be held at the Sherry Kashmir International Convention Center (SKICC) on the banks of Dal Lake. More than 180 delegates, including 60 from G20 countries, are expected to attend the event.
“The G20 meeting in Srinagar provides a very special opportunity to highlight the tourism potential and cultural richness of the region,” Union Tourism Secretary Arvind Singh said at a press briefing in Srinagar. Actually, this meeting of the Tourism Working Group will run from today (May 22) to May 24. The last meeting of G20 tourism ministers will be held in Goa in June. In this context, this meeting is important as the draft to be adopted by the ministers will be finalized in Srinagar.
