Imran gets relief from court, Lahore High Court orders release of PTI leader Shireen Mazari


PTI’s Shireen Mazari Released: Today there is a relief news for Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf (PTI) party supremo Imran Khan. The Lahore High Court (LHC) has ordered the release of Shireen Mazari, a leader close to Imran. Shireen’s arrest has also been declared ‘illegal’ by the Rawalpindi-bench of the court.

Shireen was arrested in Pakistan on May 12. She is the Vice President of Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf (PTI) party. The Pakistani police had arrested him on May 9 due to the ruckus created after Imran’s arrest. After Imran was arrested, there was violence and arson across the country, including Pakistan’s capital Islamabad, in which many people lost their lives and property worth billions of rupees was damaged.

Shireen was arrested under section 3 of Maintenance of Public Order
Dr. Shireen Mazari was accused of inciting violence. The Islamabad police arrested him during the night from his residence in the federal capital. Shireen’s daughter then requested the court to declare that the move was illegal, unconstitutional and a violation of fundamental rights. And, today there was great news for Shireen’s daughter, when the Lahore High Court (LHC) declared Shireen’s arrest as “illegal” and ordered her release.

Imran was arrested in Al-Qadir Trust case
Before Shireen Mazari in Pakistan, several other PTI leaders including Imran Khan, Asad Umar, Fawad Chaudhary, Shah Mehmood Qureshi, Ali Mohammad Khan and Senator Ejaz Chaudhary were arrested. Imran was arrested there by the National Accountability Bureau (NAB) in the Al Qadir Trust Scam Case. However, after 48 hours, the Supreme Court released Imran. Now it has been told by the National Accountability Bureau (NAB) that Imran Khan On May 23, Al-Qadir will appear before the NAB for questioning in the trust case itself.
