2000 Rupees Note: The matter of 2000 note has now reached the Delhi High Court. BJP leader Ashwini Upadhyay has filed a PIL in the court regarding this. The petition said that depositing or exchanging 2000 notes in the bank without any deposit slip and identity proof is arbitrary, irrational and violates Article 14 of the Constitution of India.

Along with this, there has been a demand to instruct RBI and SBI that 2000 notes should be deposited in the respective bank accounts only, so that no one can deposit money in other bank accounts and the ease of people having black money and disproportionate assets.
