Vande Bharat Metro will start running soon in Mumbai instead of local train, will get rid of daily rush


Mumbai Vande Bharat Metro: Good news has come for the passengers traveling by Mumbai local. Now they will get rid of the problems of crowd during daily travel. Actually, Railways is planning to bring Vande Bharat Metro soon in Mumbai. The official of Mumbai Railway Vikas Corporation (MRVC) informed that soon after getting approval from the Railway Board, the local trains here will be replaced by Vande Bharat Metro. Railways is planning to run 238 Vande Bharat Metro in Mumbai.

Will be prepared under Make in India

MRVC said that its racks will be purchased under Mumbai Urban Transport Project-III (MUTP-III) and 3A (MUTP-3A). He said that these trains will be constructed to promote industry and internal trade. Along with this, it will be prepared under the guidelines of Make in India of the Central Government. MUTP-III and MUTP 3A projects cost Rs 10,947 crore and Rs 33,690 crore respectively. It will be procured by MRVC with 35 years of maintenance.

The announcement was made in the budget of 2023-24

Vande Bharat Metro is the mini version of the country’s first indigenous semi-high-speed train ‘Vande Bharat’. It was announced in the budget of 2023-24. According to the Railways, Vande Bharat Metro will be a state-of-the-art rack, covering a distance of about 100 km. It will have eight coaches like a metro train. Normal Vande Bharat Express has 16 coaches. After the commencement of Vande Bharat Metro, the passengers of Mumbai will be greatly benefited. The crowd of local trains here is not hidden from anyone. Everyday a huge crowd of people travel in this train. With the introduction of this train, especially the office going people are going to get a big relief.
