It is not easy to become an IAS officer, out of 615 candidates only one can become a civil service officer


UPSC CSE 2022 Final Result Out See List: The Union Public Service Commission has declared the final results of the Civil Services Examination for the year 2022. Those candidates who have given this year’s exam must have checked by now whether they have been selected or not. Ishita Kishore has topped the exam this time and the remaining three positions are also girls. The five toppers have been as follows – Ishita Kishore at number one, Garima Lohia at number two, Uma Harti N at third place, Smriti Mishra at fourth place and Mayur Hazarika at fifth place.

The special thing is that becoming a civil service officer is not an easy task, but out of 615 candidates, only one can pass the exam. Let’s try to understand from the figures – last year a total of 5 lakh 73 thousand 735 candidates appeared in the exam to become IAS, in which only 933 candidates passed in the final result. So many candidates were selected

A total of 5,73,735 candidates had appeared for the UPSC CSE exam this year. Out of these 933 have been selected. Out of these 933 candidates, 613 are male and 320 are female. UPSC exam is conducted in three stages. Pre, Mains and Interview. Only the candidates who pass the first stage are able to move forward. The last phase of UPSC CSE i.e. interview was organized from 18 May 2023. Its result has now been released.

So many candidates were included in the interview round

Out of 5,73,735 candidates, 2529 candidates appeared for the exam. That is, only so many candidates were selected for the interview round. Out of these, after the results are out, now 933 candidates have been selected. Out of these, the candidates who come to the top position will get appointment on other posts including IAS, IPS. Under 2022 Civil Services, recruitment has now been done on 1011 posts.

– The Civil Services (prelims) Examination, 2022 was conducted on June 5, 2022.

A total of 11,35,697 candidates had filled the forms for this, out of which 5,73,735 candidates appeared for the exam.

– Mains exam was conducted in September, 2022, in which a total of 13,090 candidates appeared.

Finally, a total of 2,529 candidates appeared for the interview round.

Top 4 ranks have been secured by women candidates.

Who will be the topper of this year

Ishita Kishore stood first. Ishita, whose roll number is 5809986, has secured rank 1 in the Civil Services Examination. He had taken optional subject Political Science and International Relations. Ishita has graduated in Economics (Hons) from DU’s Shri Ram College of Commerce, University of Delhi.

Here are the rest of the toppers

Garima Lohia, a student of Delhi University, has secured rank 2. She has studied from Kirori Mal College. His optional subject was commerce and accountancy. Uma Harti remained at number three. Uma has graduated in Civil Engineering from IIT, Hyderabad. His optional subject was Anthropology.

Smriti Mishra captured the fourth position. He has graduated from Miranda House College, North Campus of Delhi University. His optional subject was Zoology. The top 25 candidates include 14 women and 11 men.
