What did AAP government minister Saurabh Bhardwaj say?
AAP leader Saurabh Bhardwaj said that earlier also the Lieutenant Governor had visited Bhalswa Lake in October 2022, by releasing the pictures of that time and today’s latest pictures among the public through social media, he wants to show that this Bhalswa Lake The Lieutenant Governor started the work of revival in October 2022 and revived this Bhalswa lake in May 2023. He said that the Lieutenant Governor has crossed all limits of consideration. He is taking credit for the program run by Delhi CM Arvind Kejriwal to revive the Bhalswa lake.

While verifying his point, Minister Saurabh Bhardwaj, referring to the work order issued by the Delhi Jal Board for the revival of this lake, said that by conspiring in this way, to take credit for the work done by Honorable Chief Minister Arvind Kejriwal. Before the Lieutenant Governor forgot that he took over the post of Lieutenant Governor in May 2022. While on January 4, 2022 itself, the work order for the revival of this Bhalswa lake had been issued by the elected government of Delhi.

Describing the process related to the work of reviving this Bhalswa lake, he said, the work order is a matter of much later, to revive any lake, the Jal Board first makes a plan, then along with the DDA officials, the lake is revived. Discussion takes place, their permission has to be taken, then an estimate of the expenditure to revive that lake is made, then its tender is issued and after all this work order is done by going somewhere. . It can be inferred from this whole process that the plan to revive this Bhalswa lake was started in 2019 itself, for which the Lieutenant Governor of Delhi is now trying to take false credit.

Saurabh Bhardwaj also showed the NOC dated 17th May 2019 which allowed the Delhi Jal Board to work by the Union Territory’s DDA. DDA said, Delhi government should work to revive this lake.

He said that we have also heard that it is being said by the Lieutenant Governor that the cow dung which used to contaminate the lake from Bhalswa Dairy has now been stopped by the Lieutenant Governor, but the truth is that Quite the opposite. He told that the cow dung coming from Bhalswa Dairy in Bhalswa Lake has been stopped by Delhi Jal Board by putting interceptors. He said that the Delhi Jal Board had got this work done with its own money by issuing a tender, the evidence of which is still present with the Delhi Jal Board.

Saurabh Bhardwaj made serious allegations against the Lieutenant Governor
Stating a very important thing in this whole episode, Minister Saurabh Bhardwaj said, “We have come to know that Brigadier BD Mishra, OSD to the Lieutenant Governor, had visited Bhalswa Lake about 1 week ago and threatened government officials with sacking.” By giving this, an important drain related to the beautification of this Bhalswa lake was stopped. He told that there is a drain near Bhalswa Lake, which used to take the cow dung of Bhalswa Dairy to the supplementary drain, so that the dirt going into Bhalswa Lake can be stopped, it can be made clean.

He told that because the drainage of this drain which was in the supplementary drain was closed, then this drain started overflowing and once again the cow dung coming out of this drain filled the Bhalswa lake, in which context Sanjeev, MLA from Burari Jha and Badli Assembly MLA Ajesh Yadav lodged a complaint in the office of Water Minister Saurabh Bhardwaj and requested to organize a meeting in this context.

He said that when the meeting was organized, MLA Sanjeev Jha and MLA Ajay Yadav complained that the drain was closed by the office of the Lieutenant Governor by pressurizing the officials, due to which all the cow dung of Bhalswa Dairy Bhalswa was filled in the lake. Verifying his point, he once again said that the minutes of the meeting are still present in the records of the Delhi Jal Board.

Is the Lieutenant Governor taking the credit of the Delhi government?
Minister Saurabh Bhardwaj said that it is with great sadness that I have to say that today the Deputy Governor is trying to take credit for the Bhalswa lake which was revived by the Delhi Jal Board and the Delhi government after working day and night. He said that the Deputy Governor is sitting on a dignified post, he should encourage the government for such good works, and not take false credit for the work done by others. He said that such acts are being done continuously by the Lieutenant Governor for a long time. We were calm considering the dignity of his position. But now the Lieutenant Governor has crossed all the limits, so under compulsion we have to come in front of the public and tell this thing.
