Aadhaar Card Update: The Unique Identification Authority of India (UIDAI) keeps coming up with various facilities from time to time for the Aadhaar card holders. UIDAI has decided not to charge any fee for updating Aadhaar till June 14, 2023. Usually, a fee of Rs 50 has to be paid for updating any information like name, gender, photo, mobile number in Aadhaar, but at present UIDAI has made it free.

If you go to the Aadhaar Center and get the information updated, then you will have to pay a fee instead. It is worth noting that UIDAI has started this facility for the people so that people can update information like mobile number, address etc. in Aadhaar card which is more than 10 years old. Through this, encouragement is being given to update the proof of identity and proof of address (PoI/PoA).

- If you want to update information in Aadhaar for free, then first visit https://myaadhaar.uidai.gov.in/.
- After this click on Proceed To Update address.
- Next, an OTP will come on your registered mobile number, enter it.
- Next, choose the option of Document Update and after that the address in front of you will appear.
- After this the Aadhaar card holder will have to verify his details. If this is correct, then you click on the next link.
- After this, you will have to submit your ID proof and address proof document.
- After giving all the information, click on the submit button.
- After this you will get Update Request Number (URN) number from which you can check your address status.
- After a few days your address will be updated on Aadhaar.
