7th Pay Commission Update: The government has given very good news to the employees. Dearness allowance to government employees has been increased to 8 percent. This increase has been done by the Gujarat Government. Gujarat Chief Minister Bhupendra Patel has made this big increase for all the government employees and pensioners of the state.

The central government had recently increased the DA of central employees by 4 percent while increasing Dearness Allowance Hike. Due to this, the benefit of 42 percent DA is being given to these employees. This increase is effective from 1 January 2023. At the same time, the DA increased by the Gujarat government will also be considered effective from January 1, 2023.

How many lakh employees will be benefited

In the order issued by the state government, it has been said that this will benefit 9.50 lakh pensioners and government employees. Bhupendra Patel said that this increase will provide relief to the employees and pensioners of the state. The dearness allowance has been increased twice simultaneously by the state government.

8 percent DA hike

The 8 percent increase in dearness allowance has been divided into two parts. The first hike was done from 1 July 2022 and this is an increase of 4 percent. On the other hand, the second increase has been done on the lines of the Central Government from January 1, 2023 and there has also been an increase of 4 percent in this. This means that the total DA to the employees will increase by 8 percent.

DA has increased in this state too.

After the central government, the Tamil Nadu government has also increased DA recently. DA has been increased by 4 percent under the Seventh Pay Commission. 3 percent DA in Himachal Pradesh, Rajasthan, Assam and some other states have increased dearness allowance.
