UP Crime News: In Baghpat, the aggrieved party created ruckus alleging that two accused of the Gajendra murder case were released from the police station. The anger of the women sitting on dharna in the police station erupted on the inspector. He demanded the arrest of all the accused while telling lies. The aggrieved party warned not to leave the police station till the arrest of all the accused. There was a stir in the police department on the news of ruckus and picketing in the police station. The officials who reached the spot tried to pacify the protesters.

The protesters were not ready to leave the police station. Eventually the strike ended on the assurance of arrest of all the accused. While taking action, the police arrested two accused and sent them to jail. In Chhaprauli town, on the night of May 24, Gajendra, brother Bhudev and Ashwani, supporters of the winning councilor Amit, were attacked with sharp weapons. Gajendra, who was injured in the attack, died during treatment.

Defeated candidate Prabhat alias Monu had accused nine people of assault in election enmity. Bhudev and Ashwani were seriously injured in the attack. The deceased’s brother Satendra had filed a case against 10 people including the defeated candidate Prabhat alias Monu. In the morning, Gajendra’s relatives got information that the police had released two accused including Amit after arresting them.

On the assurance of the CO, the aggrieved party ended the strike

After the information, the victims reached the police station in large numbers and demonstrated. While narrating the lies to Inspector Ravi Ratan Singh, the women demanded the arrest of all the accused. The victims warned that till the arrest of all the accused, they will not leave the police station, nor will they perform the thirteenth ceremony of the deceased. CO Barot Savi Ratt Gautam reached Chhaprauli police station and tried to convince the people. The aggrieved people did not listen to even a single word of theirs and kept on protesting in the police station itself.

Finally, on the assurance of arrest of all the accused, the aggrieved party ended the dharna. Chhaprauli police arrested the defeated candidate Prabhat alias Monu, brother Sonu and Rohit and recovered the sword, shovel and ax used in the incident on the spot.
